MCP servers

chainlist-mcp

The network module. It gives the agent live chain data from Chainlist, so no chain ID or RPC endpoint needs to be hardcoded.

npm package

Install#

Add it to your MCP client's config. Requires Node.js 20 or newer. See the quick start for where the config file lives.

claude_desktop_config.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "chainlist": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "@roxi-os/chainlist-mcp"] }
  }
}

From source

bash
git clone https://github.com/ROXI-OS-SI/chainlist-mcp.git
cd chainlist-mcp
pnpm install
pnpm build

Then use "command": "node" with the absolute path to build/index.js as the argument.

Tools#

get-chain-list

Get every chain listed on Chainlist: name, chain ID, native currency, explorers and RPC endpoints, with each endpoint's tracking policy.

No parameters.

Example#

prompt
Which RPC endpoints for Arbitrum One don't track users?

The agent calls get-chain-list, finds Arbitrum One, and filters its RPC list to endpoints whose tracking is none. Part of an entry looks like:

get-chain-list (excerpt)
{
  "name": "Ethereum Mainnet",
  "chain": "ETH",
  "rpc": [
    { "url": "https://xrpc.cl/eth", "tracking": "none" },
    { "url": "https://rpc.hostdefi.com/api/rpc/ethereum", "tracking": "limited" }
  ]
}

chainlist-mcp has no wallet access and needs no configuration, so it's safe to enable for any agent.
